Oremus

Accounting services provided to the Indian subsidiary of a Belgium-based biotech major
The client (the Belgium-based biotech major) has set up a subsidiary in Hyderabad to undertake research on crops and
seeds. Oremus was mandated to provide accounting services for the subsidiary and to report to the head office in Ghent,
Belgium. The contract commenced in June 2007. Recently, the client acquired large companies in one of its business lines.
Post acquisition, the scope and the business expanded manifold. Oremus was mandated on a long-term basis to provide
complete accounting services. The current scope includes accounting for the research activity, sales, purchases and all other
transactions for the new businesses acquired, inventory management and liaison with warehouses, translation of books of
accounts as per IFRS, and continuous budgetary and internal control support.

Accounting service support to the largest private-sector aviation company in the Middle East
Oremus has been associated with the company for more than 4 years. Oremus initially supported the strategy and
planning department, providing them with feasibility studies, business plans, and financial modeling. In 2006, a major
asset management company bought a significant stake in the aviation company. Oremus was then mandated to review,
update, rectify, and support the accounting department with an onsite deployment of ten accountants and a senior
chartered accountant. We successfully supported the company's accounting department and also closed the books of
accounts for the financial year of 2006. Oremus was responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the
budgetary and internal control policies recommended by the asset management company. Oremus also generated the
company's budget for 2006 and 2007.
